Berlitz is accepting applications for a full-time language assessor for the head office. The position will begin in summer, 2018. ?Our assessment is called the GBC Assessment, which is used by companies to support the development of their employees by tracking and measuring their communication abilities. This can highly impact an individual's career as the scores can be factored into hiring or status decisions within the company. GBC English Language Assessors do not deliver training but rather score the strengths and weaknesses of individuals in regard to language proficiency and interpersonal communication skills.??The basic tasks are:?• ?e?valuate and rate proficiency interviews• ?produce benchmark and progress reports for our corporate clients• ?c?onduct GBC interviews on an ad hoc basis• ?w?ork with the Berlitz Sales Department to ensure smooth delivery of assessments• ?oversee the quality control of our interviewers• ?c?onduct GBC interview training sessions as required  ?Working schedule: • the hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (37.5 / week).?• straight working hours; no split work shifts• not required to work in the evenings• weekends off     ? Other: • this position requires enrolment in Social Insurance (shakai hoken)• has a six-month developmental period to allow the selected candidate to build and refine their skills. As such, we are only looking for candidates who are able to make a minimum commitment to the role of 2 years. • a monthly train pass from the nearest station to your home to Aoyama-Itchome Station will be reimbursed.  Applicants must: • hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited university• be a native (or native-fluent) speaker of English• have a background in or knowledge of language testing would be beneficial• have a minimum of a BA or BS degree• have excellent English writing skills• have a good attention to detail and strong analytical skills • have an ability to work quickly and efficiently with minimum supervision (once trained)• have good interpersonal skills: the ability to build strong relationships with external and internal customers• be dedicated to providing outstanding customer service• be computer literate• have the ability to follow a standardised process• be available for a face-to-face interview in Tokyo
