Interac Kansai & South Central expect to have opportunities for Head Teachers in the Kakamigahara area of Gifu Prefecture. After a comprehensive initial training program, Head Teachers have an important role in helping and supporting Assistant Language Teachers (ALT), students and Japanese teachers to broaden their horizons and develop international understanding. Head Teachers provide a role model for the ALTs in their assigned area as well as providing training, mentoring and daily support to ensure the success of the ALTs. If you are an experienced, committed teacher with a strong drive to help others achieve their goals, a Head Teacher position with Interac may be for you.Duties include:>> Class observations and feedback to ALTs>> Work with branch staff to plan and execute ongoing ALT training>> Provide individual teaching support to ALTs in your assigned area>> Participate in training of new ALTs>> Substitute teaching >> Other tasks and duties as required by the positionWorking hours:In this position the Head Teacher will generally work between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday through Friday. Please note that relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.
